Nadia's Hope Equine Rescue

We have been rescuing horses for many years. With encouragement from friends and family we decided to start the non profit organization so we could continue our mission and take it to the next level. Nadia's Hope Equine Rescue was granted the official 501(c)3 status in 2021.

We will rescue any breed and any size horse, pony, mule and more. We have had horses come to us as owner surrenders, private sales, we have purchased at auction and  we have also been rescuing horses directly out of the kill pen before they ship to slaughter.

Based at Four Winds Farm in Nokesville, Virginia,  NHER has access to its own Quarantine barn isolated from the other horses. All new arrivals are quarantined until they are cleared by one of our vets to join the general population. During that quarantine period the horses all get evaluated by the vet, get their vaccines and de worming updated, have the dentist float their teeth. and have the farrier do their feet.

Once their quarantine period is over they move into the main barn where we have stalls of varrying size or if they are not comfortable being stall kept we have an option of field board as well. All horses in stalls get turned out together in the main field at night unless they require rehabilitation or private turn out.

Each horse is assessed on the ground as well as under saddle. We take our time introducing them to their new life with us.

Most of our rescues have suffered severe abuse and take time to relax and trust. We welcome volunteers and visitors to the farm by appointment only.

Most of our horses will become available for adoption, for a fee, once they are ready.  We get very attached to all these horses, we would love to keep them all but if we were to keep them all we would not have room to rescue more. All homes must be approved and all horses adopted with a contract.

If you would like to visit, volunteer, donate or adopt please email Shallon at NadiasHopeEquineRescue@gmail.com
