Meet Our Rescues

Nadia
Meet Nadia! She is the heart and soul of our rescue! As the original rescue and namesake of Nadia’s Hope Horse Rescue, she carries a presence as grand as her stature. Known as the queen of the farm, Nadia’s kindness and gentle nature make her beloved by all who meet her. Join her royal court by becoming her sponsor and help us continue providing the love, care, and dedication she deserves.

Carson
Meet Carson, our mini donkey with a heart as big as his personality! Carson has had a tough start, being treated harshly throughout his young life. But he’s quickly warmed up to people—on his terms—and is now showing us just how sweet and loving he truly is.
Carson may be small in stature, but his heart is larger than life. Sponsoring him means providing the care and love he deserves as he continues to blossom into the gentle, loving companion he’s meant to be.

Shirley
Meet Shirley, a resilient Amish work mule who has overcome a lifetime of hardship. When she first arrived, she was petrified of people, covered in sores and scars, and had only ever known hard, thankless labor. But with time, patience, and love, Shirley has transformed into a kind, smart, and deeply loyal companion.

Sponsoring Shirley means giving her the continued safety, care, and kindness she deserves. Will you be a part of her journey?

Elton
This dashing and intelligent Dutch Harness Horse was rescued in November 2022 and has since become a beloved part of our lesson program. With his striking looks and gentle spirit, Elton brings joy to everyone he meets. Your sponsorship helps provide the care he deserves—join us in giving Elton the best life possible! Elton is available for an onsite half lease.

Jill
Meet Jill, our beautiful Black Beauty who knows she’s the prettiest and smartest horse that ever lived! We brought her home after she’d been through two auctions and was on her way to a third. After years as an Amish buggy horse, Jill has truly blossomed and developed a sweet, confident personality.
Now, she’s excelling under saddle—walking, trotting, cantering, and jumping with grace. She even went trick-or-treating! Jill’s journey has been nothing short of amazing, and she continues to show her brilliance in everything she does. Jill is available for onsite half lease.

Dixon
ADOPTED- Meet Dixon, one of the ‘Four on the Fourth’ we rescued directly from the K Pen. When he first arrived, Dixon was terrified of people, sudden movements, and loud noises. But thanks to time, patience, and love, he’s come so far—now enjoying human interaction and attention.

Hardy
Meet Hardy, a 17-year-old Standardbred who has embraced his second chance at life. Once a hardworking Amish buggy horse, he was rescued in March after being sold at auction, underweight and covered in wounds. Now, he’s thriving—learning to ride with ease, leading trail rides, and even joining summer camp games.
Hardy is smart, kind, and always willing, whether blazing trails or patiently soaking up love from his fans. Sponsoring Hardy helps ensure he continues to enjoy the freedom, care, and kindness he deserves. Will you be part of his journey?

Patton
Once a buggy horse who had given his all pounding pavement he now is spoiled, pampered and treated like the king he is! Patton has really come out of his shell and is starting to show his personality and has remained a perfect gentleman at all times! From relaxing trail rides, photo shoots, horse shows, summer camp chaos, Christmas caroling and so much more, he is always willing to give his all! We certainly love having him as part of our family.

Delilah & Deacon
Delilah, a 7-8-year-old Arab cross, was rescued from auction in December with her colt, Deacon, who was just a few months old. Despite battling pneumonia and a neck injury, Deacon has made a full recovery and is thriving.

Delilah is gentle and loves attention, while Deacon is full of curiosity and energy. Sponsoring them helps provide essential care like feed, vet visits, and farrier work as Deacon continues to grow. Consider supporting this special pair today!

Bradley
Bradley spent his life working on an Amish farm and is now learning that people are kind and life can be fun! Due to Shivers, he is not riding sound, but with proper care, including vitamin E, he enjoys a comfortable and happy life.

Bradley thrives with 24/7 turnout but also enjoys a stall. After extensive dental work, he now only requires routine care and eats soaked meals. Gentle and easygoing, he gets along with all pasture mates and is still learning to fully trust new people.

Ember
Ember, a stunning former Amish buggy horse, was saved just in time from being lost in the auction pipeline. After a lifetime of hard work, she was sold to a dealer planning to flip her at another auction—but thankfully, she was intercepted before that could happen. Now, she’s finally safe in her new home!

Ember has been started under saddle and is proving to be a willing and intelligent partner. She requires an experienced rider and is available for an onsite half lease

Noel
Noel, a beautiful mule with a heart of gold, was rescued from the kill pen on Christmas 2021. Like her new friend Shirley, she spent her life as an Amish work mule and carries the same past hardships. Thanks to the kindness of Ellie and Tamela, Noel has been living like a queen, and now she has joined us to be Shirley’s perfect long-eared companion!
Sponsoring Noel helps provide her with the care, nutrition, and love she deserves in her well-earned retirement. Help us give this gentle soul the peaceful life she has always deserved!
